Happy Friday!
Happy Friday my friends.

Are you as excited for the weekend as I am??

If you haven’t started your Friday dance yet, I recommend you do so immediately.

And if you’re anything like me (or Buffy), you’re a little thirsty:

AND you want to do something enlightened.  Well here’s good news! There’s an event tonight Friday March 4 called the Green Carpet Gala. I just bought my ticket and plan to attend.  I hope to see you there!  It’s the kickoff party for the One Earth Film Festival that is in Chicago this weekend.  I’m speaking at one of the panels tomorrow at 3PM on the topic “How to get involved combating climate change at a local level”, following the screening of Naomi Klein’s move This Changes Everything.  The screening and discussion will occur at the Institute of Cultural Affairs at 4750 N Sheridan in Uptown.  The whole fest is a family friendly event and will show 35 inspiring films throughout the weekend (all over Chicago) covering sustainability topics such as urban farming, biodiversity, food, transportation, water, waste, climate change, energy and environmental advocacy. These films will appeal to those who are already committed to environmental action as well as those who are just learning about the issues.

Facilitated discussions at each filming will bring added insights and give everyone a chance to participate in important, change-making discussions. See an inspirational film and join in special events, most of which are FREE.

Learn more by visiting oneearthfilmfest.org or their facebook event page.

So don’t lay around this weekend feeling like there’s nothing to do.  Because if you said, that, you are:

And if you do say that, I’ll give you shade:

mhmm:

I’ll even dish you up some wookie sass

I mean,

This event is interesting and meaningful!

And let’s be real: I MISS YOU.

I mean, I really miss you

So find a film near you, get yourself there and get excited!

REALLY excited

It’s Friday for crissakes!:

Yee haw! We live in an enlightened city with tons of cool stuff going on! YAY!!

Happy Friday!
